Alright 1st RetroSore game review! Hope ya'll enjoy my input and opinion! :D

Today's Game: Sonic the Hedgehog 2
II (Inside Info): Released in 1992 by SEGA for the Sega Genesis. The second game of
the Sonic the Hedgehog series. First introduced Tails, and Super Sonic. Was well
          recieved.

My Thoughts:
When I first starting gaming, this was one of my very first games to play.
Ever since then, I have loved and enjoyed this game. Sonic's new sidekick Tails is
introduced, bringing in more fun gameplay. Bring a friend, and enjoy a good 2-Player
action! The mechanics for the game is very similar to the first game, speeding through
levels, making way to the goal,
collecting rings and destroying badniks as you go. All levels in the game are fun and
exciting, some take more patience to finish than others, which is good for a normal
based game. The arwork for the levels is well done too, such as the city lit lights of
Casino Night Zone, to Emerald Hill Zone's lush green field. Balanced out with many
enemies and gimmicks, the game can get a little tricky at times, but I think it's a nice
little touch for the game. The music is also very enlightning, good tunes while
running through the levels. Next is the special stages. I'm a huge Sonic fan, but these
special stages can be a bit of pain, collecting rings to pass a certain section, all while
trying to avoid bombs that could possibly lower your ring count. Also if Tails is there
along side you, it makes things alittle bit worse. Trying to time those jumps and
bypasses could hurt you in the end, because Tails has a delayed time reaction, which
he could end up hitting bombs, and losing rings that he has. (NOTE: I'm not
downgrading Tails, just the special stage mechanics) But in the end, collecting all the
Chaos Emeralds can be very rewarding, achieving Sonic's new form, Super Sonic!
With increased speed, jumping, and even invincibility, going through levels was a
breeze. Only cons were the pitfalls, being crushed, underwater too long, and the time
limit could still result in a death. The final boss of the game is also nicely done. Sure
it seems easy today, but remember the first time you fought him? I know, it was a pain!
Anyways, the final zone, Death Egg Zone, was where it was held. It presented no
rings, so it made things a bit more challenging. First you had to get through Silver
Metal Sonic, which wasn't to deficult, but time you hit the Final Boss, danger alert!
The boss seemed simple to beat, just by jumping onto his round stomach. But with no
rings, it made things alot harder, one simple mistake is all it take to die. If you learned
how to work things out, the boss would be easy to beat. Afterwards, you would fall
downwards from space, waiting for Talis to catch you with the Tornado, if had collected
all the Chaos Emeralds, you would get the alternate ending.

Final Judgement: Overall, this game is uniquely done in it's own way. SEGA really did right
with this game. It is just fantastic. Sonic is what got me started on gaming, so I have to
give credit to my favorite blue hedgehog.

    Gameplay: 9.5
    Music: 9
    Graphics: 9.5
    Multiplayer: 8.5
              OVERALL: 9.5
